Bonjour! I'm back!

the trip was superb :)) and i have zillions of photos to post! however slide.com is down so i shall display them another day. i love Europe!

first of all the plane ride was long and horrible. took qartar airways to Doha for a transit, that ride was 7 bloody boring hours. and another 6+ hours to Zurich from Doha. the bad turbulances made me wanna puke but luckily i didnt luh. lol

the plane ride was worth it anyhows. swiss time is 6 hours behind singapore. so i reached there at night and slept in novotel hotel. so small a hotel yet so cozy and high tech. the quality of everything is of high standards, even the toilet paper is thick and soft i'm serious. haha. keyboards to control the television, surf net on the television and morning call from the television. cool eh! they have 60 over channels in every hotel. all in different languages, but only 2 channels i can understand which are CNN and BBC. lol!! mtv channel as well when they play english songs.

alright, so off to germany by coach in the morning, only an hour ride. covered the border of germany touching switzerland and into the black forest we went! bought cheap birkenstock there :)) had pork knuckles and german sausage, then went to look at the cuckoo clocks, which were exorbitantly priced ya! the weather was fine, 20-23 degrees, very comfortable and dry. back to zurich to see the rhine falls, pretty clear blue water you'll see from the pics. and to lucerne-another canton we went, checked out the bucherer where all the branded watches are sold. from swatch to tag huer to tissot to rolex. i think the cheapest rolex was 9000 swiss francs if i'm not wrong. times about 1.3 to convert to sing dollars.

day 3- Engelberg( in lucerne)!! where snow-capped Mt Titilis is! so uber pretty :))) love it. it was -1 degree up the peak. and was raining below so it was snowing on top when we went up the 10 000feet majestic mountain. had to change 3 times of cable car before reaching the top. went googoo gaga went i saw the alps. but we aint prepared for snow, no gloves so i could hardly play with the snow. couldnt feel my fingers and ears after 10 minutes. but i didnt care, gotta take loads of pictures no matter what!

day 4- i almost died. lol! went to another mountain joungfrau. this time round an hour train ride up the mountains. it was the TOP OF EUROPE, 11 000 feet plus high. could hardly breathe up there. but i acclimatized after a while. guess what. this time it was -3 degrees! snow was pouring plus strong wind, the snow practically whacked against my face so hard, it couldn't take it after 5 minutes. and i couldnt even see what was 3m beyond me. but great fun though! the snow was so thick, required loads of energy to walk through it. woot!! off to bern, the capital of switzerland, the buildings and architecture are just amazing. off to interlaken, a peaceful quiet town in between 2 lakes. so relaxing :)

day 5- town of tasch, Zermatt we went. this little town is pollution free. no cars and motor vehicles at all, only the electric ones! woot! we walked in by foot. was quite cold there, 10+ degrees. and we stayed in Antares chalet, our balcony was directly facing the Matterhorn- the mountain on the famous swiss chocolate box,Toblerone. it was the only snow-capped mountain among all the other mountains!! took tons of photos of this mountain. oh, do u know switzerland is so mountainous, only about 20% is flat land!

day 6- went to geneve! another canton. visited many tourist attractions in montreau and lausanne. such as UN and olympic hq.

day 7- 8 hours coach ride to paris. sit until my butt so pain. however the scenery was great plus movies to watch so it was alright. yummy french food!! crepes and rosti! it was evening by the time we reached so we only mangaged to cover a perfumery.

day 8- great day!!! woohoo. first we went to the grand opera house. and then the Notre-dame church, inside was very elaborate. but it was dark so the pictures did not turn out very nice yea. :( next the well-known eiffel tower!! we only stopped at a place to take photo of it because it was raining. so we went indoors first, Louvre museum!! the one in the famous Da Vinci code. so enormous, 12 km of galleries with 500 000 art pieces in it. woot!! Bro and I really got lost inside with very misleading exit signs all over the place. Freaky! We took an hour to find our way out, argh. Asking was of no help too, they speak French we don’t. anyway seeing the inverted pyramid and the genuine mona lisa painting with my own eyes was just amazing!! woohoo! everyone goes there just to see mona lisa! it was the only piece covered with layers of glass just to protect it and at least 10 security guards guarding it. the only art piece we are not allowed to take pictures of. but i managed to take a quick very blurry picture of it secretly. haha.. but an officer spotted me of course, speaked some french i didnt understand so i just walked away. lol. up to the eiffel we went when the sky cleared. woot! pretty pretty and very well maintained although it is hundreds of years old. it was originally an art piece and only meant to stay in paris for only a year. but it became so renowned, it brought paris so much income till now! it is not easy to live in paris, the standard of living is way too high. thats why paris is full of old people, only they can afford!! cruise in the evening! full of pretty sights i cannot explain. pictures will speak a thousand words. took the subway with some people from the tour at 9 plus at night to see eiffel tower twinkle at 10pm sharp for 10 minutes. lighted eiffel is SO diffrent from eiffel in the day. so i have pics of it in the morning, afternoon, night and when it twinkles!

day 9- went to a white church, very pretty it looks a bit like taj mahal. hehe and shopping!!!!! la faye- huge shopping centre, 4 blocks of 7 storey high buildings where all the branded goods are sold, louis vuitton, prada, gucci, chanel, fendi, D&G, energie.. you name it, they have it! the branded goods are a lil cheaper than in singapore because of tax refunds and stuff. and LV is their local brand. ohh and ZARA is like their 'giordano' alright! omg.. see the difference is standards. uh uh.. watched a cabaret show in lido at night. but was alright only yea..

day 10- reluctanly took the plane back to home sweet home with qartar airways once again. but this time there was individual tv with a great range of movies to choose from!! haha :) watched the art of seduction, high school musicals, stick it, and SIMPSONS!
