Hello people!
yes, i know it has been ages, everyone's pestering me to update so.. here goes! :)
The reason i kinda went MIA the whole of last month was because i was busy dancing and working. practically juggling between latin and standard, 2 partners, 2 different studios. hahaha but all efforts were worth it :) I LOVE DANCING. the Stardust competition on 21st June was a blast, good experience. now, at least i have competed before and achieved something :) guess most of you have already seen photos on FB, photos says it all!
Jive and Tango course just ended. sighs. i wanna dancee! but now i can proudly say i've learnt 9 different dance in 9 months :)) waltz, quickstep, foxtrot, tango, viennese waltz, chachacha, rumba, samba and jive!! i am only left with paso doble to complete all 10 dances. i will learn it sooner or later i swear :)
Enough about dance stuff, yea met up with Da Chronics last week for bowling and dinner :) made dedications to ourselves at the fountain of wealth, suntec city. pretty awesome! you guys should try it, the dedication box is just outside fish & co. its free!! just type in the msg and request a song. it kinda sent chills down my spine when the laser words were displayed against the sprouting fountain and when they played the songs we chose.. i'm yours and collide :D come to think of it, we've been friends for 7 years now!! and it all started out when we wanted to create a dance performance specially for Mr Terence Tan on teachers' day. haha. MACHI!!! hehehe
it was vin's birthday last sunday! watched Drag Me To Hell. MAN!!! that movie was darn tiring, like EVERY moment was scaryyy, no time to catch a breath. but overall, the storyline is superb, especially the ending! really :) Fish & Co with class people and went up to Mt Faber. anddddd, Edmund's bday on tues! we went ice skating!! soooo not easy, but was damn fun once i gained a bit more confidence. Singapore should have more ice skating rings luhh, it can be a great sport! Dance + Ice skate put tgt!!! awesomee
okay, finally, i reached TODAY. watched Ice Age 3! super cute :) and farewell supper with Sushi Tei colleagues! which i dunno what i ate that caused my stomach to be rumble right now.. grrr
anyways, time flies!! i remember it was 2 months later i'll be leaving for Brisbane.. then 20 days later, and now, just 1 WEEK later. TADAH! its been a rather emotional week, its scary to think about the future, what awaits you in a totally new environment. afterall, its gonna be the first time im leaving home for so long! i have to keep reminding myself the purpose of leaving: To STUDY in University of Queensland (i wanna dance too, hee). seriously, i dont know if i can cope jumping directly into final year. i dont know the style of teaching, the style of exams, the way they do things, what they expect, their online system, where the differnt blocks are, how to get to school.. OMG. i have a zillion queries!! i think uni is very different from poly. in poly, we dont get to choose our modules except for electives. time table are planned for us, we just follow. now, everything is DIY, gotta be alert and independent! i am so GLAD and RELIEVED once i remember my brother is over there. but my whole lifestyle is still gonna change definitely, i have to wash my clothes, buy groceries, cook, do household chores, manage $$ spending, STUDY. heyy, now i realize, all the shops closing at 5pm aint that bad after all! there's so much to do at night :) i'm kinda looking forward to lectures and making new friends, i wanna learn my favourite subjects, do my parents proud :) but at the same time, i dont wanna leave.. they will be heartbroken! i will TRY hold back my tears, i dont want a messy departure :) for now, i shall just cherish the time left with family and friends :) LOVES
