BWAH busy beeeeee eh. guess whats on this coming friday? QUIZ+PRESENTATION+MID SEM EXAMMM. wth. STRESS

dont u guys just love genetics. dont u miss the little chimeric mouse? pronuclear injection of foreign DNA to knock in certain genes? HAHAHA. i miss it sooooo much eh.
i think i'm Toxoplasma postitive, seriously. in the first place, the fact is 3 out of 4 people are infected with Toxoplasma! second, i love Red meat. esp bloody steak :) yummmy. all the iron in the haemoglobin hasn't oxidize yet. meaning? the meat isnt sterilized. so, i'm happily ingesting all the parasites! it survives all the harsh environment, passes through the membranes and forms cysts in the brain. imagine that. lol. but it causes no harm luh. but its kinda proven that ppl with toxoplasma have slower reaction times. thats me! soo yeah. ahh another random thought
OH YAH. some really naive thinking of me i wanna share :)
i used to think all CATS are GIRLS. and all DOGS are BOYS. i think i've said it before, but its quite funny, i wonder why i used to think that way.. or is it common to everyone?
AND. remember science teachers in pri or sec sch used to teach us: human has 23 pairs of chromosomes. yeah, happily cutting the jumbled up chromatids to match them and paste it on a new sheet of paper remember? i always wonder where the hell are the chromosomes! and then, they will go on and teach parts of a cell: cell membrane, cytoplasm, vacuoles, mitochondria, nucleus. (hehe, i kinda miss secondary sch science) yuppp! so i used think, oooh okay, so we ONLY have 23 pairs or chromosomes (as in, my thinking: ONLY 46 chromosomes in the whole body). then you see in all tv shows, DNA testing for almost every crime scene or when they need to identify if 2 persons are related isn't it. i was like.. huh, we have so much DNA meh? lol, dont laugh ok. i was confused for damn long. never did i know DNA are coiled up into chromosomes and the chromosomes are present in the nucleus for eukaryotes in every single cell of the body. seriously, maybe i'm dumb or what. but teachers never seem to relate all these, they teach them in separate parts. hehe, omg can't believe i'm revealing this juvenile confusion of mine.
btw, can u believe i didn't hear my alarm for a whole 45 minutes when my phone was just beside my ear? seriously, i think i was dead for some time. i set it to the noisiest song i have. my room door was closed, my brother room door was closed. he heard my alarm! for damn 45 minutes, he got frustrated and barged into my room and shouted at me to wake. then i woke in a daze luh, first thing i did was take my phone and see the alarm sign. then i said.. oh my alarm didnt ring. he was like WHAT!! so bloooody loud. omg. :(
was it because of deeeep sleep?
i was dreaming i had to join the army... :(
